India led the Digital Health Resolution in the 71st World Health Assembly in April 2018 at Geneva & highlighted global attention to the potential, challenges and opportunities related to Digital Health Technology and need for close collaboration on the issue globally.

Digital Health has a great potential towards improvement of delivery of healthcare services. Health Ministry has rolled out large scale Information Technology systems in different areas of healthcare ecosystem in India for enabling the management and provisions of effective people centred health services to all. Our vision is to create integrated digital health platform and enable creation of electronic health record for 1.3 billion people of India.

India’s National Health Policy outlines a robust framework towards achieving Health for All through the basic principles of accessibility, quality and affordability that leverages the power of information and communication technologies to strengthen the healthcare delivery systems. It is envisaged that India will have a digital health enabled Health and Wellness Centre model that leverages opportunities for continuum of care and for clinical decision making through technology enabled tools.
