World Health Organization (WHO)

World Health Organization is the United Nations' specialized technical agency for Health. It is an inter-governmental organization and works in collaboration with its member states. WHO is building a better, healthier future for people all over the world. WHO is working with 194 Member States, across six regions, and from more than 150 offices, WHO staff are united in a shared commitment to achieve better health for everyone, everywhere. WHO's objective is the attainment by all people of the highest possible level of health. The mission of 13 WHO General Programme of Work 2019- 2023 is to “promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable”.

WHO strives to combat diseases-communicable diseases like influenza and HIV, and non- communicable diseases like cancer and heart disease; help mothers and children survive and thrive so they can look forward to a healthy old age. Digital technologies can offer limitless possibilities to improve health, from personal fitness to building stronger health systems for entire countries. WHO is determined to harness the positive potential of digital technology to promote and protect the health of all people.
